Got a job interview coming up this Friday, wish me luck everyone!

It was pretty obvious with the hints and backstory building up to it, so I assumed I had to recreate history by beating Idunn using the binding blade.

It's definitely a first player's trap, no denying that.

Got to post the GOAT of the Resident Evil series. Resident Evil 4.

WAIT STRUZAN PAINTED THIS??
No wonder the cover art for A Hero's Tail goes so hard, this is news to me.
triple-q.bsky.social
little known fact, but Struzan did the Spyro: A Hero's Tail coverart for whatever reason. It is the *only* cover art he painted for a (non movie IP tie-in) videogame

It's a good-ass piece of course but man what a random title to do this for

From what I heard, if Roy wasn't gonna be in Melee, chances are Leif from FE5 would have been a smash bros rep instead which does make you wonder in an alternate timeline where Leif was included and not Roy. Chances are people would have never heard of Roy.
towah5.bsky.social
If you're referring to his incarnation in Smash Ultimate sure, but I don't recall the other incarnations being that great. But honestly Sakurai's take made Roy look far more likeable than he actually was in his own game, which is funny as he appeared in Melee first before FE6 to promote the game.

I can't necessarily blame you for having it so low, considering the questionable design decisions the game has. You can tell it was the first game of the post-kaga era in a lot of ways, and it shows.
towah5.bsky.social
Even then, there's also having to go through different routes. Sacae in particular I loathed with how trash those chapters were, but Ilia I had a more comfortable experience with.
towah5.bsky.social
If I were to put in a tier list, it's not going any higher than B, because screwing up getting all the weapons the first time was making me tempted to put the game down. Plus with no indication of how to get them and knowing which route to take screams first player's trap. It's bad design imo

I can't help but feel like Fire Emblem: Binding Blade was an inverse to Blazing Blade. While FE7 was an easy game with a very hard final chapter, FE6 was a hard game, but it had an absolute cakewalk of a finale.

49) Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade. It has its flaws, but I still think it's a good game despite my feelings towards it being relatively mixed. However getting the true ending did make me feel very accomplished with how insanely hard it was to get.
towah5.bsky.social
So overall, while my opinions on the game are relatively mixed, I won't go as far and say it's a bad game, but I only recommend playing this game once you're done with Fire Emblem Blazing Blade, as playing FE7 before FE6 really does enhance the experience with the story.

But despite all of that, I can't say I hate this game, because what it excels at is its story and a great cast of units. Even though I didn't find Roy to be a very likeable protagonist, and was a very bland protagonist, which is a far cry considering how popular he is in Smash Bros.
towah5.bsky.social
You can tell that this was a soft reboot to the franchise when Kaga left IS that the gameplay had a lot of growing pains, something which its sequels massively improved on.
towah5.bsky.social
I won't lie and say that I was very close to putting this game down, when I found out about the true ending requirements. It made me realise how badly I screwed up, to where I had to do another playthrough. It's definitely a first player's trap and I won't deny that at all.
towah5.bsky.social
While I do really like the story and think it's a lot better than FE7's, in terms of game design and gameplay, it's very rough around the edges with the hit rates, how supports work, and the insane requirements of unlocking the true ending.
towah5.bsky.social
After many hardships spanning two playthroughs. I have finally beat Fire Emblem Binding Blade. I'm telling you, if there's one game in the Fire Emblem series I feel heavily mixed on, this game takes the crown.
towah5.bsky.social
And that's the final boss. For such a hard game, the final boss is pretty damn laughable. Yeah, FE7 definitely had the harder final boss.
towah5.bsky.social
I don't even need the warp staff, I could just run straight to the boss and one round.
towah5.bsky.social
Alright it's time for the final boss and yeah I think you all know where this is going.
