I just finished this up in a SmArtSchool mentorship class with Sam Weber. 😊 The assignment was to create an illustration with an original character, and I went with my current D&D character 😅

A great beast lurks in the lightless depths of the sea. Here it is met by a comparatively miniscule submarine which catches part of creature's coiling form. Emerging from the darkness above that is the beast's head; its blank eyes glow teal. Its mouth has opened just enough to reveal rows of needle-like teeth. Thunderborn

A little homage to the ibex, an animal born of thunder and stone, standing between light and shadow, between the storm and the return of the sun.

In the colder months, male and female ibex come together in the rut, their midwinter union a spark of life in the stillness.
