Design Systems. Web Components. Dad stuff. Music. Basketball.
Have a very active (almost) 6 year old. Play games in the morning. Hit the community center, basketball practice, and/or ninja class in the afternoon. Board/card games in the evening while throwing football indoors.

Winters are hard. Summer is lots of bike riding/messing around outside.

Super cool being at that age where if I don’t stretch or run every day, my body feels terrible.

I've seen a number of people request a way to imperatively link a form control and a label via a property such as .forElement on the label. Can you send me your concrete use cases if you're one of these people?

Hi there! I think these APIs may require some sort of paid level seat. You could contact @figma.com support for verification.

there is something off about this design - it's the vertical text alignment

this new CSS feature just made aligning text 100x easier

I was about to fire up a playground to test if they work across shadow roots. But maybe I’ll be lazy here — do you know? I imagine they do not.

Yeah, spot on. Apparently it's a thing in Mississippi now too. I get what they're after, and fully support children not being on social media. Especially after reading Jonathan Haidt's books.

I just don't trust third party services with my data. :(

100%. Back to email and RSS.

I may be able to give it access to my general location, but ugh. I miss the old internet 😂

No problem at all! Been serving me (and a few others I know) well for quite some time now.

There are a few other paths, as you can imagine, if a bucket isn't available to you. But the bucket path is definitely the most smooth from a DX perspective. Good luck!

Yup yup. Previously used Web Test Runner as well, but Playwright is quite nice in comparison. Takes some additional setup for web components, but it’s not bad. The Playwright APIs are quite nice! So are features like traces, UI mode, built-in visual snapshots, etc.
