RE: bots, why not design a human-scale social network, in which an account could only follow (say) 3 people per day, post 10 times (including replies,) “like” 100 posts.
You would need some sort of account level validation (or other friction) to prevent simply pushing the problem out horizontally,

Finally reading “How to do Nothing” by @jennitaur.bsky.social and wow, it’s so wonderful. Resonates with a lot I’ve been thinking about. It’s smart cultural criticism that evokes Benjamin/Frankfurt School that’s also grounded, human scale, and actionable. Don’t know what took me so long.
