This weekend showbiz documentaries on Jim Downey (SNL writing legend), John Candy, and Martin Scorsese have hit various streaming services. It's a truly wonderful time to be a Comedy/Film Nerd over 40.
Good to know. I didn't hate the first one. Found it mediocre, but still enjoyable in a cozy woods slasher kind of way. Keeping expectations low for the second one.
Spotted in New Jersey.🦴🩻
I'm probably the only person excited to see the next installment of this horror series. What can I say? I'm a slashers guy. Good. Bad. I'll take 'em all! 🔪
With the amazing news that the Bob Mould led band Sugar is reuniting with new music, it's a good reminder that their debut Copper Blue is a perfect rock album. Listen to it on your favorite music device.

"Sorry. I haven't gotten to that work email since I was writing a Letterboxd review for Ghoulies Go to College." - something I wish was socially acceptable to say at work
Another successful horror marathon with my fellow hosts Scott and Erin! People dug our bonkers in-person exclusive Witch Story (1989).
Saw John Carpenter perform live last night in NYC. It ruled. He played for 90 minutes and then came back for an hour encore of playing video games and getting blazed.
I downloaded Ghoulies Go to College to watch during this spooky season. I support party monsters getting an education.
I appreciate Daniel Day-Lewis's first scene in Anemone:

(Puts on sunglasses and looks directly at the camera)

"What up, Hollywood?! Yer boy Double D. is back, baby!"

(Skateboards out of frame)
Updated my Letterboxd with some early 80s slasher favorites. #slashers #halloween 🔪

A look at the new Programme 4 telecast, coming to a candlelit lounge or paneled rumpus room near you!
Coming up on Programme 4: Gary Brooker (Procol Harum) is BROOKER
Great batch of movies in the recently added 2000s Horror section of the Criterion Channel. I love REC, MAY, and TRIANGLE! #criterionchannel
I'm listening to the new Taylor Swift album. I feel young and carefree, like I'm 41.
The new Lilith Fair documentary on Hulu is excellent and made me remember this great Entertainment Weekly issue.
Update - This rules. The movies are back!
About to see One Battle After Another. This will most likely be the greatest day of my life.
I respect the time zones of my west coast work colleagues. Like, I'll wait until at least noon EST to bother them.

Updating my LinkedIn with this skill.

Well, there it is. Sinclair is digging in for a fight, so please help push back -- find stations in your area, watch their local news to see what ads they run, then write those advertisers to tell them you're boycotting as long as they're on a Sinclair station.
