Yes, I know it's not unusual! Synths & guitars, gigs, Birmingham City, Bears, NY Knicks, gardening
#NP Manuel Gottsching/ Ash Ra Temple Best of the Private Tapes. Kicking myself for not getting the full set of these when they came out, now go for silly money. Primed for a reissue.

Celebrating its half century this month NP the almighty sequencer blitzkrieg that is Ricochet by #TangerineDream much copied but never bettered

NP Jeanne D'Arc #TangerineDream, hard to believe this was 20 years old last month. One of their better post millennial releases, even the sax is bearable.

Finally giving this is a proper spin on the stereo & sounding absolutely epic, stunning combination of dramatic Vangelis/ Carpenter esque synths & gorgeous soaring vocals #NP Afterlife - Promenade Cinema, album launch in Sheffield next week is going to be something special

50 years old today! #NP the magnificent mellotron magic of Edgar Froese's Epsilon in Malaysian Pale. Nice mention for Birmingham (Streetly, my birthplace to be specific) home of the iconic instrument in the credits.

What on Earth is this? An "in depth" BBC article about free speech in the UK that only cites examples of right-wing/ 'anti-woke' speech being suppressed. How can you mention Lucy Connolly but completely ignore Palestine Action / Just Stop Oil? Gob-smacking. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
How the simmering UK freedom of speech row reached boiling point
How did we reach a point where the UK is being compared to a 'tin pot Third World dictatorship'?

1975 sure was a great year to be a student at the Berlin School #NP Inventions for Electric Guitar - Manuel Gottsching

Had this for a little while but with the other half out it seems like the ideal time to give it a spin, especially as it would have been Manuel's 73rd birthday yesterday #NP Klaus Schulze & Manuel Gottsching live at the Audiomax DVD

The problem with this box (apart from the fact that it's not ambient) is that you can never just play one album from it. #NP the wonderful Aqua by Edgar Froese.

Lucy Connolly, a woman who admitted inciting racial hatred after using social media to post about setting fire to hotels housing asylum seekers is to speak at the Reform UK Conference today. That spells out all you need to know about Reform UK and their dangerous, hateful agenda.

Somehow missed the anniversary of this last month, so happy 50th to Timewind, one of the greatest electronic albums ever made, a cornerstone of the Berlin School & one of Klaus Schulze's masterpieces, perfectly complemented by Urs Amann's sublime artwork.

Wonderful album by one of the UK's pioneering Electronic Music artists. Worth investigating his whole catalogue especially Lore, considered by Paul himself to be his best @jonathancoe.bsky.social @softroom.bsky.social
My tireless search for 'introvert prog' has taken me through the usual cycle of Music Inspired By ... albums (The Snow Goose, Lord of the Rings, Watership Down) before leading me to this real curiosity, a cassette-only release from 1985.

This always feels like an album for a warm summer evening, guess it's more to do with when I first heard it than the music, even so never need much of an excuse to play it #NP Systems of Romance - Ultravox.

Reform UK’s Councillor Jodie Brown runs a Facebook page for Long Eaton Reform.

Here she’s posted a made up conspiracy: www.facebook.com/story.php?st...

Derbyshire CC should investigate what their councillor is putting out on social media as it’s bringing their brand in to disrepute.
