Madeleine Hyland sung with him on Dexys' 'One Day I'm Going To Soar' album - apparently he'd been looking for a female co-vocalist for years, and a friend who knew her suggested her just a couple of weeks before they went into the studio. She's got an amazing voice and presence!

It looks like 'A Southern Gothic' in 2021 is her last album, and there were a couple of singles in 2022, but nothing since. The album's definitely worth hearing, though!

Day 14: beabadoobee - The Perfect Pair (2022; UK-Philippines)

beabadoobeebossa... Glorious.

The only artist with two songs in my 50; her voice sends me squiffy. And for those who may not know, her record label Dirty Hit was co-founded by the late Ugo Ehiogu.
