I've already brought up ahaeth, the alien shapeshifters that created psionics. They come from a distant planet called Canthrapa, which is an artificial world created by their leaders, The Higher - a council of 10 ahaeth with immense power.

Maeflai are one of the oldest original species for TOGWITO! They're magical demihumans, and allow you to choose a magical Bond, as well as their species, which provides an upside and a downside. Just be careful, because they have the most weaknesses of anyone!

Humans are the boring but obvious place to start. They're very weird and imaginative, usually responsible for bizarre inventions and strange discoveries in the world.

In-game, they have the ability to change the choices for their skills each time they level up!

The final class we have to discuss for the base game is the Technomancer! They mix their magic with the technology of the Ancients that they've scavenged to create Gadgets, which they hand out to their team, along with their Clockwork, a personal bodyguard!

Dancers are SP-based support characters, which is pretty good for teammates who, like Psychics, rely entirely on their SP for combat.

They've also got a lot of movement-based abilities, many of which have effects on whoever they pass by!

Librarians are neat! You see, people tend to put memories into their writing, and that means that books have magic in them! As a result, some people can produce a localized field of effect while reading books aloud. Or they can bludgon you with one.

The Guardian is the quintessential "support" class! They've got a lot of options for healing, recovery, and the Spring of Life, which acts as a spare HP pool for their team.

Psychics are intended to be like a traditional mage class, with a wide variety of skills... though, you've got to be careful, as their skills are all AoE.
(If you're wanting to hit more targets, you can also choose to spend more SP on a larger radius!)

Everyone thinks they'd like a Trickster, but when YOU'RE the one getting levitated and set on fire, you'll change your mind quickly.

The class was made by the fae, based on the Ancients' art of stage magic. They're all about trickery and causing problems.

Bards are kind of a wild card! While they've got their songs that apply status effects - good or bad - to all targets in combat, they've also got Instrumentals, which grant them 2 unique skills based on the type of instrument you're using.

Ninjas took a long time to decide on, with the runner-up options being throwers (with a sling) and bombers, who eventually became the Tricksters. I still may decide to add throwers and bombers someday, but they'll need some major reworks, first.

Ninjas are, putting it most simply, a ranged version of the thief class. They have more emphasis on status effects than thieves do, and a good amount of their tools are designed for more utility, like a collapsing latter or kunai for transferring items easily.

Hunters basically have two options for their playstyle:

1) Mark their target and hunt it to the ends of the earth

2) Mark their target and then let it run itself to death

Hunters revolve around their Mark skill, which gives them various buffs and inflicts some status effects on their prey.

I know that TOGWITO is in a fantasy world, so you may be surprised by the presence of the Gunner class! Using a special revolver, gunners excel in rapid attacks, as long as they keep track of their remaining bullets.

Archers are, basically, the ranged form of the Warrior, but with a few different elements to use, and a system that lets you exchange your arrows to change your Attack actions properties!

The final melee class is the Brawler! Their solution to every problem is to punch, grah or throw it, and every time they land an Attack, their combo goes up, increasing their damage by 1d4. Just keep the combo up and you'll be golden!

Thieves are next on our list of classes - they're a speed-based stealth class, with a set of Thieves' Tools that they can spend time making, giving them various utility, like picking a lock, setting traps, making a cloud of smoke, or just stapling a guy to the wall.

Tanks are another simple class - their role is to get hit instead of someone squishier, like a Psychic or Ninja, and have a few special stances they can adapt to, giving them more effects for when they would get hit

Warriors in TOGWITO are a fairly simple melee class - they use a sword to attack, and have a few elements at their disposal.

They gain Focus throughout battle and can spend it on special Skills, or keep it for special Passives

I've been struggling to figure out where to start with TOGWITO - let's go over combat, for now.

Combat is inspired by Persona, with a variety of damage types that could stun your foes, heal them, or get reflected back at you.
