The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has reported 1,514 measles cases as of Sept. 24, the highest number of annual cases since the United States declared measles eliminated in 2000.

In my attempts to unplug yesterday I didn't take my phone on my morning hike. Then I saw these guys. My walk turned into a quick run to find someone with a phone - so long since I've seen two together like this. Of course, they would show up just as I'm writing a story about bears #bears
