Find myself driving this in N mode, with snorty engine sounds and manual gearchanges, pretty much all the time.

Seems ironic that, to make an EV fun, Hyundai has simulated a petrol car – even down to downshift auto-blips and a hard rev limiter. But maybe that doesn’t matter? 🤷🏼‍♂️
Just delivered: Hyundai Ioniq 5 N.

A hot hatch? A hot crossover? Whatever it is, I’m looking forward to the next seven days. Road-trip to Wales coming up…
‘With a choice of naturally aspirated flat-six engines, rear-wheel drive and near-perfect 47:53 front:rear weight distribution, the 987 was tailor-made for keen drivers.’

Porsche 911 Targa 4S Heritage Edition spotted in Belgravia.

One of 992 cars, with racing roundels, gold badges, corduroy seat centres and the 1963-style Porsche crest on the bonnet.
Ferrari 812 Superfast spotted in Mayfair.

Far more tasteful than the 812 Competizione that followed – or some of Ferrari’s recent efforts.

‘With double-glazed windows, noise-cancelling tyre tech and a V12 that is barely ticking over in eighth gear at the legal limit, the Vanquish dispatches motorway miles in calm, long-legged comfort.’

‘The 920hp flat-six idles impatiently, its soundtrack raw and uncouth. I take a deep breath, promise to be careful with this irreplaceable, one-off prototype, and drop down into the hard-shell carbon seat.’

No, you are quite right. As was later pointed out to me, this one is a non-turbo 20v.
‘Whereas the 911 GTS delivers great gobfuls of instant, electrified acceleration, here you need to keep the revs simmering and pick your moment.’

OK, I stand corrected. As several Fiat fans have pointed out, this is a non-turbo 20v.
Fiat Coupe spotted in Caterham.

This one has the five-cylinder 20v turbo engine, too.
They weren’t in the photo, unfortunately. But rest assured it does have them!
Called in at the new Lamborghini Mayfair showroom in Berkeley Square, where this Revuelto is currently front and centre.

Three of the 29 Lamborghini Fenomeno hypercars were sold here in London, apparently.
A few more of the Rolls-Royce Corniche by Niels van Roij Design.

The Dutch company’s past projects include shooting brakes based on the Tesla Model S and Rolls-Royce Wraith.

It has also built a Range Rover (L405) coupe, Ferrari ‘Breadvan’ homage and Fiat Panda restomod.
My favourite feature of Niels van Roij’s Corniche shooting brake is this electrically retractable cycle rack.

It slots into the centre section of a new, horseshoe-shaped fuel tank.

Tank capacity isn’t diminished – handy when you have a 6.75-litre V8 and three-speed auto ’box…
Inside the Rolls-Royce Corniche shooting brake by Niels van Roij Design.

Seats are retrimmed in beige leather, with green-flecked tweed to line the glovebox, storage trays, etc. The carpets are deep-pile lambswool.

Bakelite steering wheel and the walnut dashboard have been restored.
First look at ‘Henry II’ – a Rolls-Royce shooting brake from Niels van Roij Design.

Based on a 1982 Corniche coupe, this coachbuilt one-off took 7,000 hours to design and hand-build.

I drove it (carefully) in the Swiss mountains. Read more on MR: www.motoringresearch.com/car-reviews/...
Yes, shame our paths didn’t cross. It seemed busier than ever. Another time!
Keeping good company with a V12 Vantage S in the Sunday Scramble car park.
Porsche 924 Carrera GT: my pick of the Sunday Scramble car park.
Assorted Porsche 911s of the Sunday Scramble.
Latest project from Theon Design is a carbon-bodied 964 in Ice Green Metallic (a classic Porsche shade).

Its 3.8-litre NA flat-six on throttle bodies makes 413hp at 7,600rpm.

Spec also includes 993 RS brakes, TracTive adaptive dampers and three-piece 18-inch split-rims.
This E21 won the UK leg of the 2025 Hot Wheels Legends Tour.

It packs a 420hp 5.0-litre Rover V8, DTM-spec gearbox and Quaife limited-slip differential

Other mods include adjustable coilover suspension, Wilwood brakes and a genuine Group 5 rear spoiler.
A few highlights from the Sunday Scramble so far.
