Today in Libraryland we've got poets, a rhymetime, discussions on setting drop-in sessions for a support group for single dads of young children, and conversations about hosting the local men's mental health peer support group on an ongoing basis. Not bad for a rainy Monday morning #librarylife

As C.L. Nolan said: “We must acknowledge there are places where the land growls.”
"[Kipling] told me that in his own part of Sussex he had noticed a sharp division between benevolent lands and tracts of the countryside which seemed maleficent. 'There is a wood, he told me, 'which is full of a sense of ferocity and evil, secretive and menacing.'"

Try to enjoy something today, big or small. Don't pressure yourself, but be open to the experience of pleasure.

Nothing pisses off our abusers & bullies like our joy-- which should tell us how important it is to our recovery.
Been watching Ghostbusters with the 'cule as a slice of nostalgic comfort viewing. Aaaand this is what i sketched during the third act

Celebrating others’ successes is one of my favorite things. It’s a happy thing, everyone’s in a happy mood, and they did all the work.
Morning all, enjoying being in my favourite library before any staff or public get here. One of the perks of the job is having a whole library to myself #librarylife

Ashcourt Necropolis' chipped angels seem to have become bored with the prospect of eternal grief. Their pleading to heaven no longer for the dead, but a release from the English weather. No benedictions, just a slow discharge of resentment for waiting on judgement. – #CLNolan

"Did you tell your Mommy and Daddy about the man under the stairs?"

"No, he said they already know who he is. He says everybody knows him."
We're quietly getting the spookiness levels up in the childrens library #librarylife
