Today in Libraryland: not one, but two, fire evac drills at one library. The second one triggered by someone vaping in the public toilets. Building full of flammable objects asks you kindly to not be that person #librarylife

Well, an exciting morning in libraryland where we had a total power cut at the main library. Staff looked after people and directed them to other places or ways of accessing services, i kept the VIPs informed, and updated the various call centres and support services until it was fixed #librarylife

Folklore is a living force. The infrastructure may change from wooden bridge to concrete flyover, but folklore adapts, finds a new life among us. Half-there Folk, Lords of Underside and of course Whisperers, still loiter despite the traffic spluttering above them. – Dr. M. Benn
