I haven't argued that it was self defence. I think Israel wanted to exact retribution, recover the hostages, eliminate Hamas and destroy the terrorist infrastructure that Hamas had built over 20 year.

On the Trans issue I'm all about JK. Sometimes one person's rights impinge on another's. Bullying isn't a way to resolve that problem.

No. I said that allowing Trans noisypolitics to dominate political discourse had contributed to putting Trump in power. If that weren't the case the Republicans wouldn't have weaponised it in the long run up to the election. I stand by that.

Israel under Netanyahu are cunts. That's clear. But those that support Palestinian violence, both Hamas and their apologists, ought to recognise that their stupidity and desire to eradicate Israel caused the destruction of Gaza. Not acknowledging it means the cycle of destruction will continue.

I think Hamas sacrificed its own innocent people so if anybody considers Palestinians as 'less than' it's islamists. There's a long and bloody history of Islamists treating ordinary Muslims as expendable isn't there.

I'm not defending Israel. I am saying that Hamas invited them in knowing full well that ordinary Palestinians would pay the price (again) for their actions.

Hostages. Hezbollah weren't holding 400 hostages. Different scenario entirely.
