My research into Wizard of Oz mentions in vintage gay media led me to this 1970 article, which is ostensibly about the history of how various cultures treated witches but really seems to be a salivating roundup of various BDSM scenarios

If you're still on Twitter, get off now. Immediately. Delete your account.

Not only is it obviously a safety risk for you, it is also morally unjustifiable.

Simple neuroscience-based hack for anxiety:
🌿go & be in a place with plants & trees for 15 mins
🌳You'll inhale plant oils(phytoncides) from foliage
📉your stress hormone(cortisol) will drop significantly

Many of our brain pathways evolved to motivate us to forage for plants-they're still very active

Every day I relate more and more to fairy tale witches who moved to the woods and cursed anyone who bothered them. Living alone in a forest cottage with cats, foraging, making stews and spells? That’s not villainy, that’s goals.

It's Elon Musk and Peter Thiel and all sorts of other ghoulish billionaires and assorted Epstein Islanders pouring god knows how much resources into this to keep the fuels of hate burning hot, and it's all so inauthentic, it's manufactured hate, drummed up rage, all to keep people angry constantly.

And no, it isn't just bot farms, it's the entire right-wing media infrastructure for decades, it's Rupert Murdoch's entire rotten empire, it's the Koch brothers whole network of think tanks, it's Fox News, Breitbart, hundreds of weird loser tossers like Ben Shapiro propped up by billionaires...

Seeing how much of the right-wing on Twitter is just bot farms, kinda lays bare how much hate and hatred is a project that needs to be constantly maintained, a fire that needs to be fed all the time lest it go out for a moment, so much time, effort, and resources to keep people angry and hateful.

Also the only way you can watch The Daleks in colour now is going out and buying it physically. I'm sorry but no fan who is approaching 60s Doctor Who for the first time is picking up The Daleks in colour DVD for £10, especially when they can access most of the catalogue on iPlayer for free.

The thing is they aren't as accessible to newer audiences as you'd think. Fans can appreciate them on a different level because they already have that greater context going in but even looking at stuff like The Pyramids of Mars reedit had newbies confused and that was one of the better edit jobs.

My favorite part of this is how many people seem to lose their phone or some other item in the process, like it's a power of the slide to turn everyone's pockets inside-out
I love that the Boston cop slide never got fixed and now people just willingly go down it in tribute. It’s basically a national landmark at this point
