as a marketer for adtech and other tech products, i remember tracking the growth of internet connections and broadband adoption, then mobile devices and smartphones and i'm telling you 'stalling' was not a theme.
Multiple surveys are telling the same story: AI adoption has stalled. Census data shows ~11% of workers use AI, with rates falling at 250+ employee firms. Surveys show usage spiked then plateaued.

Meanwhile Big Tech is planning $5T in AI spend by 2030 that needs $650B/year in revenue vs ~$50B today
Investors expect AI use to soar. That’s not happening
Recent surveys point to flatlining business adoption

It’s really funny how a generation will roll its eyes at parents who watch Fox News but doesn’t see why being immersed in Twitter is having the same effect. Lots of serious people show up on Fox News too but that shouldn’t be your primary source on the news.

RealPage allegedly helped landlords price-fix and jack up the cost of rent.

Instead of cracking down, Trump's Justice Department struck a “deal” that lets them continue to rip off renters.

Is that the art of the deal or a sham? RealPage called it "an endorsement."

"Once in a while, you see a movie that doesn’t feel made, but extracted from a dreaming mind. It won’t go to you and hand over its meanings. You have to go to it." I reviewed The Secret Agent, my favorite film of 2025. Haunting, beautiful, profound. www.rogerebert.com/reviews/the-...

this is the future of the internet. (hopefully we're all somewhere else, touching grass, while monopolies bid $ to insert ads in the bot babble.)
Our dystopian future is looking light, bright, and just a touch whimsical.

Share a 90s movie you think deserves more love

okay ..."love" might not be the right word but this movie chills to the bone and is as much of this time (more?) than 1999. (I also have a theory that it's part of the It's A Wonderful Life Universe.)
