I remember the early days of the pandemic so, so well. I remember everyone urging the government to do something sooner, it seemed madness not to, but they just wouldn’t. www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/cm...

Universal Credit LCWRA is NOT easy to get. Despite the fact my son is learning disabled, does not understand any of it, and unfit for work, I had to fight for 2 years. It’s not handed out.
So sick of this constant attack by the media.

Oh and it’s so so easy for us to get these disability payments say people who’ve never had any experience of disability or the constant fight for help.

Well, I should be able to order Mounjaro today but because my last order wasn’t approved until 3 days later due to demand and it being weekend I can’t order until Tuesday now. Just ……. great. Can’t afford £329 so will be down from 12.5mg to 5mg. Not happy.

The DWP has suddenly suspended my Carers Allowance with no warning. Ring up to be told it’s a change of address issue. I moved 18 mths ago, informed them, have received all correspondence addressed to my new address and spoken on phone several times and assured all was in order. #DWP

DWP has suspended my Carers Allowance because 18 mths after moving, informed them of change of address, received correspondence from them at new address, spoken to them several times, that there’s now an issue with my change of address.
SUSPENDED IT & can’t tell me when it’s being reinstated.

1/5 📣 The government have appeared to make concessions on the benefits bill but now a new report by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, has found that despite benefit cuts reportedly being proposed as a way of encouraging people into work, there is a significant lack of “disability confident” roles.

I’m sorry, the DWP announcing “don’t worry, the benefits u-turn means only 150,000 people will be pushed into poverty now!” is just insane. Cruel, incompetent ghouls who shouldn’t be allowed to run a bath let alone a system sick people rely on to live.

Every single non-disabled person who is supporting the PIP cuts should be handed a £15k “disability costs” bill each year and asked how they plan on paying it. Because people don’t really need benefits? You’ll be able to find £15k on top of rent, food, utilities and your summer holiday? Right?

The extra cost of being disabled in the UK will rise by almost 12% in five years, says Scope. That means having to find another £15k a year just to live at the same standard as non-disabled people.

But MPs should cut PIP tomorrow, right? Seems logical and humane? www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

With just over a week to go to the vote to cut disability benefits, now is the best time to write to your MP to ask them to vote against.

Factors to consider when trying to make the Armed Forces an attractive career choice.
1. Pay.
2. Living Conditions.
3. Welfare. Look after the families as well.
4. Compensation. Before and after death. When a fit 57 yo dies from service in The Gulf, admit it & help the family.
