Absolutely 10000% credit yourself if companies have been cheeky enough not to do it themselves.
My controversial take is that if you didn't get credited on a game you have proof you've worked on, just list it on your CV.
I do with one. Never had any issues.
Not being credited still sucks but you don't need to be polite when they're not.

I trained to be an architect and that didn't happen. No one at the egaming company I worked at knew what esport was so I was put in charge if marketing there. Wanted to work in games full on and applied for a marketing manager role elsewhere and in 2 weeks they made me Head of Brand lol.
