The self immolation of the world's greatest research ecosystem out of petty grievances is something to behold.
"Within the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, there will be a 75 percent cut to the sciences division and a 60 percent cut to the arts and humanities. The scope of cuts to the social sciences division remains unclear but is estimated to fall somewhere between 50 and 70 percent."

This is a nice resource for us teachers because keeping up with the latest research our field is probably one of the things that falls of our respective plates the easiest.

That's a lot of lawyer fees to let like 6 teachers be mean to their kids
The worst part about being a Guardians fan isn't the playoff losses; it's the getting so far, knowing you're so close to winning it all, and knowing that ownership will never make the investments needed to break an 80 year title drought.
Mixed feelings. Guards were fun, and sad to see them eliminated, but I'm also glad a team that was selling at the deadline wasn't rewarded any further. Though, they've been selling for years so not sure this changes anything

The fact that right-wingers commit the vast bulk of domestic terrorism in the US is well-established by numerous expert investigations & reports.

But the right *accuses* the left more often, makes more *noise* about it, so they've bullied reporters into framing this as a "both sides" problem.
Teachers may not have caused the lack of public trust in science (not the only institution we've lost faith in) but unless we do a better job teaching kids to interpret scientific information to make good decisions, the problem will get worse not better.

“awful people don’t deserve to be killed, but they don’t deserve to be praised, either” is apparently a thought too complex for the pundit mind

The US president trafficked & raped underage girls, the evidence is overwhelming, everyone knows it, and this country's elites & institutions are so broken, so insular, so decadent that we can't even bring ourselves to state it clearly, much less do anything about it.

Contemptible & pathetic.
Are the schools failing or are they being set up for failure

Apologizing is a life skill because we all do something inconsiderate or hurtful. Nice read from @jorgedoespbl.bsky.social #edusky

"Artificial Intelligence is not capable of artificial imagination, and there is no artificial irony. AI will forever be devoid of self-creation and self-extension so long as it lacks the capacity to imagine a world different from that which we’ve codified and fed to it."

Wow.

Actually yes, I am. I create a lot of student facing resources for OutSCIder Classroom and have never found something to show lab set up in a engaging and professional aka not on Microsoft Paint.

QQ: Are exportable files creative commons or does attribution need to be provided?
Ah yes, the fans - the true priority of the leagues and streaming platforms.
Just discovered @chemixapp.bsky.social and man what a tool. Kids need a visual guide to build their lab set up and Chemix makes it very easy to incorporate into your student facing documents, whether your a teacher or you build curriculum resources. #edusky
Chemix isn't just for chemistry, try us for biology set ups too. Anything we're missing? Let us know.

Uh well this is a lovely resource for teachers or resource designers.
Imagine if they actually had to ask permission or even pay to use our likenesses or work to create their slop?
This is an extremely cool way to teach kids about the very abstract concept of time #edusky
“What makes About Time stand out among science books for kids is its global perspective. Rather than presenting timekeeping as a Western invention, the book explores how ancient civilizations worldwide measured time — through stars, water, shadows, and sand. This inclusive approach was intentional”
