We have many ways of doing that, ranging from having sent the Vatican a Pope that wants the curtain to fall on far-right authoritarianism to dressing up in inflatables to scare ICE agents out of their facilities to just plain protesting en masse against Trumpism, which we'll do again on October 18.

I read the piece. You shouldn't. He dismisses the "No Kings" protests as liberals in blue cities. He invokes Rosa Parks, as if rural white people in the 60s loved everything that the movement then was doing. "We need a movement but not this one" is a core centrist tact these days.

- It deprives Americans of truth. The public’s right to know how our military operates (especially in matters of war, spending, and policy) would be severely weakened.
- It risks creating state-approved media. When only “authorized” information is allowed, journalism becomes propaganda.

- It restricts investigative journalism. Reporters could lose credentials for pursuing stories that don’t fit the official narrative.
- It limits public accountability. Without reporters asking hard questions, misconduct and waste could go unchecked.

Why signing this policy would be dangerous:
- It undermines press freedom. The government shouldn’t decide what information the public can or can’t know, that’s the role of a free press.
- It sets a chilling precedent. Once one agency can silence independent reporting, others can follow.
