I support the Green Party but have huge respect for Layla Moran.

In 2021 she called out all of the deaths of Palestinian children in Gaza in Parliament & spoke at a vigil for Israeli victims.

She has spoken about permanent ceasefires since 2023. Her own family members were trapped in Gaza.

The war is Gaza has gone on two years too long. I welcome this ceasefire of course but it’s hard to celebrate after we’ve had such misery and destruction. In this war we’ve seen the worst of humanity. In its aftermath I hope we see the best.

My father & his brother were antifa. My uncle so much so that he died for his beliefs. He was a 20yr old Chindit when he died. Now patriotism is considered as sticking the union flag on the outside of your house or painting the St George on zebra crossings.

We should all be antifa.

I voted Green in the last election (though some of that was due to my MP) & don’t see it changing going forward. It’s sad, my father came back from WW2 to vote for Attlee at 20. He’d be devastated. Still, onwards!
