I just received Joe Bob’s new book in the mail, and if y’all are fans, I highly recommend. The art was done by a mutant on here and it’s got a lot of good info, such as All-Time Greatest Drive-in Movies and annual ‘Best of’ selections for those golden years of 1982-1984

After reading The Ceremonies, you're disappointed that, supposedly, Klein hates writing as much as Thomas Harris; unfortunately, for us, Klein realized it after his first novel, but I digress. You should still read the book, it's one of the best horror novels of the 80s.

Little do they know, but Freirs and Carol's meeting was not by chance, but set up by a mysterious old man, Mr. Rosebottom. The Ceremonies is an intriguing novel, and after you finish you'll be left wondering why Klein only wrote the one.

The Ceremonies was expanded from a 1972 short story 'The Events at Poroth Farm'. The novel follows Jeremy Freirs, a college professor that rents a room from Sarr Poroth, a member a strict religious community. Prior to leaving NY city, Freirs met Carol, a virginal librarian.
