It’s #Lexember again! We’re doing a root a day! Today’s root is going to generally be glossed as HAVE, but it has a more general meaning related to possession, so give, take, receive, steal, and to have a trait will all be derived from it.

I had quite a bit worked out for last year’s Cursed Conlang Circus, but I didn’t finish it in time. I thought I would revive it for this year, but I couldn’t find the documentation…

I’m torn between making my cursed conlang absolutely, hideously convoluted and making it simple but abysmally ambiguous. #conlang

I was going to go to a crochet meet-up, but it is at a coffee shop and I don’t have money for coffee AND I do have a conlang to work on.

It’s 3:45am. I have a potato in the microwave, as if it were an adequate substitute for a baked potato. I am having a cup of coffee with vanilla ice cream. This moment is okay. Pretty good, even.

Well… If I hadn’t already had an Aidettok word for “rat” I would have made it “dirt-squirrel,” but then I discovered I had used “ret” for “rat” in “flepret” (flap-rat, i.e. “pigeon”). So now squirrels are “triret.”
