bit on the nose that my perfect holiday in Copenhagen and largely smooth journey back has made it as far as Ealing, at which point a GWR train broke causing the Elizabeth line to collapse

i can’t find any reporting on it, but how much do we think Coca-Cola paid to make sure Fuller pissed the bed with their product in the sequel? Six figures?

there is no reason to expect—or fear—computers becoming intelligent. we should be afraid that people have already stopped thinking for themselves

This. All the touristy gift shops in Edinburgh (and I'm guessing other major cities) had art that was all genAI (prints, cushions, tins etc). What's the point of buying something like that when you could do it at home?
Just a heads up with all the Christmas markets and fairs on at the moment - if you see art or art-based pieces for sale, ask who the artist is, because the amount of people deceptively slapping "made locally" on pieces locally farted out by their computer and a genAI prompt is getting depressing

Aura farming is the only one of these words that's new.

Like 2025 new.

Rage bait & Biohack are surely older than that
Oxford University Press has chosen “rage bait” as its 2025 Word of the Year. The open-compound word, which beat out “biohack” and “aura farming,” goes back at least to 2002. www.nytimes.com/2025/11/30/a...

BBC commentators just claimed that England haven't conceded any points in the last 20 minutes of any of their games at the RWC I think Rhona Lloyd would disagree.

This is what is known as a deep fake. The terrifying advance of AI technology makes it impossible to tell what is real and what is not, nowadays.
As you can see Alex Mann hit him with an uppercut, disgraceful

Is it true that Mann actually provoked Etzebeth by 720 roundhouse kicking him Deng Jiao-style straight in the bollocks, leaving Eben no choice but to try and gouge his eye out? Wait while I just get the evidence off photoshop.
Found the original. Definitely a dodgy photoshop job

Etzebeth is looking directly at his opponent. He has a thumb in his opponent’s eye socket & is continuing to press into the socket. Frankly, I’m uncertain whether this matter should even end with a long playing ban. This was a violent, potentially career ending assault & needs investigating as such.

This is the most defending ROG ever did in his entire career.
If you’re not watching Pau vs La Rochelle you missed ROG marching onto the pitch to argue with the ref after his fly half got sent off in minute 1

In cases of deliberate violent conduct, as this appears to be, If you're sent off in the URC, the ban should cover all games at that level and above.
Europe? The ban should cover Europe and above.
Test Match? The ban should cover Test Matches, so Eben should be looking at missing 12 Tests, at LEAST.

All this tells me is that Kolisi is an Ospreys fan.

Huge admirer of Ian Gough in the Galactico era
I have massive respect for Kolisi and I have no issue with him candidly implying that the Boks didn't have full respect for this Welsh side. Frankly, why should they? Their bench has more caps than our 23! Respect is earned.

Thinking about how after I saw Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead back in 1990 I thought Gary Oldman had a great future ahead of him doing comedy.

Uh . . . well . . . his career didn't exactly go that route but maybe wound up there in the end? Kinda? I don't know. Great career anyway, obviously.

If World Rugby actually goes ahead and sanctions Etzebeth in line with historical precedents, I might need to take a month off from work in order to go on Twitter and dispatch Saffa rugby fans, like baddies in a cheap ninja flick.
