Larian’s usage of genAI is by no means close to the worst I’ve heard of (not a defense-just saying) but if companies can learn one thing from this backlash, I hope it’s that nobody wants this and you will actually EARN goodwill (with gamers AND creatives) by outright banning genAI usage.

I think especially in the era of online hyper-awareness people trap themselves in a loop of treating it like their responsibility to be ware of everything and fight every injustice and that's basically just self harm, you're liable to just give up entirely if you try to shoulder all the world's evil

One reason video games need to reject AI is the risk of losing the joy of human touch in small art details. My favorite example is the fake video games from the Toy Story level in Kingdom Hearts 3, designed by real video game artists. You can tell they had fun making these.
