I don't know actual numbers, but at my rural site of like 250, we had a pretty frequent stream of honking. I'd imagine somewhere between 1.5 to 3 times that number.

They're super interesting critters, too! A rare example of something called neoteny, meaning they stay in a juvenile form into adulthood. Basically they have an adult terrestrial form, but developed over time so that they reproduce before that, and thus never undergo metamorphosis.

The thing I would note, however, was the response from people driving by. I'd say the ratio of people honking/ waving in support to people flipping us off was about 15:1. So while our crowd may not have been as impressive, we still got a lot of support.
And again, this a comfortably red rural area.

A quick overview of the day at my rural No Kings:
Not many more folks than the last one, but a sizable crowd. Very joyful, music playing and people cheering. We also had toddlers in strollers with signs, a few inflatable costumes(my favorite was a penguin), and one "grannies for guillotines".
