Watching the 2025 Frankenstein movie. I feel like a ton of problems could be solved with enrichment and a solid welfare program early on #enrichment #justhusbandrythings #frankenstein2025

Meet Fender, a majestic 6′7″, 230-lb bowmouth guitarfish! One of only nine pups to survive after his mother was caught in a fishing net, Fender represents a critically endangered species.

Come see Fender at the Tropical Reef Aquarium and learn how you can help protect ocean wildlife. 💙

I've been a bit crazy busy the last month or so. So let's get back into it with questioning how/why Gen Z got so into the Edmund Fitzgerald. I have no problem with it. Fitz was a mighty ship, the story is tragic, and the song has mad feels. But why? #edmundfitzgerald

I love being able to hang out with rare and threatened species at Heron Island like this Whitespotted Guitarfish. There are a few that hang around the channel at any one time, and they typically just rest on the sand.

Despite their appearances, this is not a shark but a ray!

The real villain in Jaws isn’t the shark, it’s a capitalistic mayor that values profit over people!

A neighbourly sort of coral 🪸💕

A resident of rocky environments, the mushroom soft coral (Heteropolypus ritteri) offers a haven for small animals seeking protection. A snailfish may hide near the umbrellas of stinging tentacles, or a shrimp might hang on to weather the storm of strong currents.

Happy International Whale Shark Day from the IUCN SSC Shark Specialist Group!

Whale Sharks are the world’s largest fish, yet they feed on some of the smallest creatures in the sea, filtering plankton as they glide through tropical waters.
