Chatbots — LLMs — do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When they’re “right” it’s because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. That’s all.

There was a philosopher who passed a free years ago named Michael Foucault.

He postulated that imperial powers eventually have their security apparatus they used to create empire, turned onwards against the imperial core, especially for an empire in decline.

My feelings are the Ukrainian govts did what about the only moral thing to do in a war of existence and you find out some of your soldiers/units are fascists, you send them on suicide missions.

This is located in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago, close to Fullerton and Sheffield. It's a densely populated area near DePaul University. I'm pleased to see the community standing up against these despicable individuals.

I have a theory of LEOs, and part of it relevant here is that cops are bullies, but also kind of screened to be not TOO awful, lesr they piss off too many/powerful citizens.

ICE is violating this social contract and and just letting the worst people indulge their worst impulses. I don't 1/2🧵

A friend recently told me that they didn’t think ICE would deploy tear gas in well to do neighborhoods with a high density of white people. I understood their thinking, but disagreed. Today, they gassed Lakeview. Nothing is off limits to these people.
