It’s infuriating watching the Conservatives condemn the extension of the tax thresholds freeze.
They were the ones who froze these thresholds in the first place, fully aware that their mismanagement had decimated the economy and that they needed to claw back revenue.

I'm a pensioner; I'm lucky enough to have a personal pension and the state pension. I have to be aware of where my money is going, but I have a home, food and warmth, I am OK. After the budget, I will be slightly worse off, but if it helps to lift children out of poverty, then that's fine with me
