IF YOU ARE TRYING TO MAKE A COMIC...

Please talk about it on this thread! I would love to hear what stage you are at, what is working well, and what has proven more difficult than you thought.

Share a bit of art, if you can!

Sing your own praises, if you like!

A poem begins with a lump in the throat; a homesickness or a love sickness. It is a reaching-out toward expression; an effort to find fulfillment.

A complete poem is one where an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.

So I just read "And then she told Jack off" by @sgscarso.bsky.social in @templeinacity.bsky.social and I'd be telling Jack off, too, in this situation! But also, thank goodness for compassionate and creative grandmothers.

Hi, I live paycheck to paycheck & am the author of two published books. Don't pirate them. There are many ways to enjoy them free like by using your library. Revenue from them comes to me, a real person who needs them & committedly distributes mutual aid.

This is excellent news! The Joy pop-up issue was a burst of color and refreshment—and now it’s going to continue.

(P.S. I know plenty of you are writers…)
Remember our joy pop-up? It’s going to keep popping. We’re permanently opening subs for flashes of joy (well, as permanent as anything, which is not very but you get the idea). If we love it and it’s joyful we’ll add it to the issue. Like a little library of joy.
