A fun fact is that nearly all commercially sold honey in the UK is diluted with cheaper sugar syrups: www.theguardian.com/food/2024/no...

As a former beekeeper I basically won't buy honey here unless I see bee parts in it, as God intended.

I hope the food companies give him hell.

The more he's distracted with that the less time he can devote to spreading pestilence like one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse.
"We can at least work with RFK Jr. on banning food dyes!"

Why? To what end?
All it would do is give him a win, while not actually materially improving anything for anyone.

Day 1 of age verification in the UK. Can't see the image because I'm in the UK due to age verification laws... but I can click on the link! Dumb dumb dumb.

a bullet i am willing to bite is "this is unlawful discrimination actually". like they wrote a bad law that said there were some cases where discrimination was OK, mandated that businesses build buildings that discriminate by sex *by design,* and then turn around and says "you're discriminatory"
smartsurvey.co.uk/s/EHRC-code-...

1. "Provide feedback" Yes
3. Sex, Gender reassignment

From then on always do 'Provide feedback: Yes' and 'Disagree"; there is a lot of fluff so skip writing responses if in a hurry BUT
focus on 13.3.19 as that is where the toilet law is

We ran a randomized controlled trial to see how much AI coding tools speed up experienced open-source developers.

The results surprised us: Developers thought they were 20% faster with AI tools, but they were actually 19% slower when they had access to AI than when they didn't.

I'm reading the report behind these headlines about glyphosate and it may be the most scientifically illiterate thing I've come across (although it's a close thing with the recent MAHA report). 1/n

If you like space operas and interesting world building and strong female characters you will love it.

i find it a little weird when fanfic writers are mad about bookbinding fan works for profit

if you're gonna do copyright violation yourself i think you gotta be chill about other people doing copyright violation of your work. particularly since it's not wholly yours anyway!
