Well, I finished Metroid Prime 4 😔
So glad we already got Metroid Dread a few years ago or else I'd be pretty defeated at the moment. What a let down.

Somehow MKW's Rainbow Road isn't on my top songs, probably because I've listened across multiple different fan-made mixes that combine every lap theme together into one song.
Anyway, surprise, T-Square wins again, and so does the best OST of all time.

I have my worries about Prime 4 but I'm still excited to play it tomorrow night. It's just so strange to see this game almost here with very little fanfare. Nintendo has barely done any marketing and general discourse surrounding it has been mixed after the previews.

Might stream some Kirby Air Riders this weekend.
I feel a particular need to talk about Metroid Prime 4 pre-release because I like having that time capsule for context later.

Well, that's one snub already from the most prolific game awards show, let's see if any of the smaller ones were paying attention.
Not that "small indie company" Nintendo needs the exposure, but y'know, that OST was damn good (and I want them to release it officially...)

As we approach video game awards season (which really should be *after* December...), let's all remember that Mario Kart World deserves every possible award for Best Music and I will be very disappointed to see it likely ignored on most lists.

I've also seen a level of toxic positivity rivaling Sonic fans. Most people say something like "damn, still excited for this game but some of these things have me worried" and then you get the typical dismissive responses. No criticism allowed!

As we approach video game awards season (which really should be *after* December...), let's all remember that Mario Kart World deserves every possible award for Best Music and I will be very disappointed to see it likely ignored on most lists.
Just set up a gigabit ethernet switch for my home office and plugged in my Switch 2 dock. Turns out the ethernet port doesn't work at all and I'd have to get it repaired/replaced by Nintendo. If I use my old USB LAN adapter it works fine, just capped at 100mbps. Apparently this is a common issue.

The LA Natural History Museum has an animated T. rex screen in the main hall that is clearly just the model from JWE2 with ugly feathers added on top. I didn't capture video, but it even does the exact same animations from JWE2. I think it may be related to the stupid Samsung Gemini AI crap.

Rolled credits before with about 28 hours on the in-game clock, but that can't be the end...I still have so much to do.
I think it's still a bit *too* similar to the original Hollow Knight, but I'm just having fun for what it is regardless. It's great.

Very interested to see how Silksong progresses through mid and late-game, because while it's been excellent so far in my 5+ hours of play, it's also very much "Hollow Knight Again".
Still, the changes to movement and combat are welcome, I like the faster, bouncer feeling compared to HK.
