When we write or draw porn or erotica, we get banned from having a bank account and our livelihoods get seized even if we give it away for free.

When billionaires steal what we've written or drawn to churn out a slop-approximate of porn, they're allowed to charge for it.

Oh good, ChatGPT is getting "erotica for verified adults" later this year

We made ChatGPT pretty restrictive to make sure we were being careful with mental health issues. We realize this made it less useful/enjoyable to many users who had no mental health problems, but given the seriousness of the issue we wanted to get this right.

Now that we have been able to mitigate the serious mental health issues and have new tools, we are going to be able to safely relax the restrictions in most cases.

In a few weeks, we plan to put out a new version of ChatGPT that allows people to have a personality that behaves more like what people liked about 4o (we hope it will be better!). If you want your ChatGPT to respond in a very human-like way, or use a ton of emoji, or act like a friend, ChatGPT should do it (but only if you want it, not because we are usage-maxxing).

In December, as we roll out age-gating more fully and as part of our “treat adult users like adults” principle, we will allow even more, like erotica for verified adults.

The thing about funger is that it was indeed overlooked maybe a couple years ago so the titles of these essays fit. It just doesn't work when it's grown to such a scale with the help of those videos. Also, feeling old with you thinking how I would watch a lot of horror RPGMaker games 😸

I am not immune to the dopamine when someone likes the work I post, but I don't really crave it either. My satisfaction from drawing the thing my hands were itching to draw is more than enough, and that's really all I need.

The drawings I make range from messy sketches, floating heads, to complete illustrations and comics, and only a handful have reached a public space. You deserve to draw for yourself, and relying on external validation can harm your growth and negatively affect your relationship with your craft.

One of the most important pieces of advice I can give as an artist, especially in this age of social media, is to make art without the intention of sharing it. I think it's helped me from burnout more than anything else I've tried. I don't post often, but I am indeed drawing almost everyday for fun.

the fastest way to kill motivation is to make your identity depend on the outcome. it's called ego involvement. when failing becomes failing as a person, your brain starts avoiding the whole thing. not because you don't care, but because you care too much.

you don't need lower standards. you need less self-worth tangled up in your goals. the work gets easier when it's not about proving who you are.
