Since Polygon is leaving it out of the headline: Epic Games partnered with The Game Awards to put money into the pocket of a bigot who uses her wealth to further the genocide of trans people through lawsuits and legislation. Every 'free' game gives money directly to JKR, and they are complicit.

I feel like the worst part about the current use of the word "indie" is that it means:

Found out about CO:E33 doing this just a couple weeks ago and god every nom and win last night just fucking sucked to see with that knowledge.

Clair Obscur Expedition 33 is proof to me that AI will punch a hole clean through the entire art spectrum because as soon as it was used in something that made you feel something, 90% of so called critics went out of their way to go "well I think it's acceptable in this case"
