Am I the only who feels winter time is the "right" time? We did the whole fall back one hour last night and sure it is a bit disorientating, but it also feels more right already.

Final stretch on my thesis. I'll have to send it to my professor November 1st and by then it'll have to be ready. Like I will get an opportunity for fine-tuning, revisions etc. based on supervising commentary before turning it in. But none of that will go into preliminary check-up again. Last push!

Reading Svetlana Boym's 2001 book "The Future of Nostalgia" and encountered a lovely word pair: ersatz nostalgia. If I'm ever going to make a vapor wave music album, highly unlikely, that's would be my first album name.

I still don't feel quite alright and I'm thinking of going to a doctor this week. Been playing almost exclusively Heroes of Might & Magic 3 and WoW the past two weeks except for some multiplayer games on Wednesdays. Started a fantastic book too, but I get fatigued easily so progress has been slow.

The Dying Earth, Jack Vance

A collection of six related but fairly independent stories set in far future where the sun is growing dim, the world is worn-out yet strange to the point it's just fantasy fiction. The original inspiration for D&D magic system! Really liked this read; engaging and fun.

Cover depicts a slightly surreal landscape more barren than not, differences what is human-made and what is landscape is not always clear.
