Just published about my experience having a call with a potential North Korean hacker and some of the signs that made me realize so you can see them too.

You can find the audio of the call in the post as well.

Bluesky is a site explicitly founded by cryptocurrency libertarians with the idea that it would be a decentralized platform where users would be free to choose the open-source moderation and algorithmic feed tools they wanted, and by accident acquired a power userbase that hates all of those things.

Are people mad at the Bluesky ceo for a real reason or an internet madness reason?

From today, Breadchain will now be known as Bread Cooperative.

This is an evolution driven by community feedback and a focus on making sure the tools we build reach those who need them most.

Same mission. Same team. Clearer path forward.

I was lucky to see an advance screening of Code is Law, featuring interviews with Griff, Christoph, Fabien and others. It's a really good snapshot of The DAO hack, the Indexed Finance and Kyberswap.

The Ladder of Participation is a framework by Sherry Arnstein (1969) to classify the degree of citizen power in decision-making processes

The model highlights democratic participation needsthe redistribution of actual power, not just the appearance of involvement

🚨SLAVOJ ZIZEK ON NETWORK STATES

The one and only Slavoj Zizek published a piece on Network States and of course I had to read it and share it with you all. It's normally behind a paywall on his Substack but was put on @fileverse by recent guest @naomiii for all to read.

Why Urbit Failed with @haunt0l0gy

We discuss Adina's recent piece in @compactmag_ about her experience in the Urbit community moving from enthusiasm to disillusionment as the reactionary politics became more clear.

The same politics that has driven Urbit into the ground.
