Update 11/12: we were doing a "speak up" week last week, where we submitted "anonymous" surveys & criticism. it got extended for a week because of the amount of, and content of, the criticism. hopefully that's a good sign! anything helps!

Update 11/14: I suspected the "speak up" surveys weren't entirely anonymous, based on the excessive demographics questions. I think I was right, because we're doing the friday shuffle again today, and some of the people who spoke up are being targeted.

a homeless person should be able to sit at a bench and eat a sandwich without being treated like a criminal. they should be able to wait at a bus stop without being harassed. they should be able to use a restroom without getting physically assaulted out of the building. our autonomy matters too.

I got a call today about another SNAP application my case worker put in for me, which I would typically appreciate! but the lady on the phone was straight up like "how do I...you seem very nice, and intelligent enough to uh. do you uhhh"

update: there might be a small riot over bathrooms. the men's dorm and women's dorm are both fully backed up, drains and toilets and everything. it's even in the kitchen a little bit the staff bathroom is somehow unaffected, and someone is being evicted for using the only functional toilet.

Update 11/8: I got myself in trouble again for *checks notes* asking a staff member to elaborate because they said something that didn't make sense to me. I was loudly told to just shut up and smile and nod, in front of potential investors. "it's not so fucking difficult" etc.
