It was also really something to see his (thin) friends reminisce about him and try to discuss his size without actually using the word “fat”. Talking about his “intake” and things like that. Fascinating.

My dad is on Medicaid and they are cutting his home health aide hours because “he’s doing so well” and “due to the new cuts”.

He is 88, has diabetes and chronic kidney disease and poor balance and increasing memory loss. He needs MORE hours, not less.

This is TERRIBLE.

This one is early 90s but it’s close enough. The experience of going to see this in the movies with my mom and aunt in 1993 or whatever is one of my most favorite going-to-the-movies memories ever
