Thursbitch is probably my favourite and Treacle Walker was joyful if a bit confusing. But I don't think Garner has ever written a bad book.

Roast was a solid 7/10. I suspect the fault lies in my settings I forget that for us a medium rare is always going to feel overdone but I was being cautious. I'll switch down into the rare settings next time. After all if a good vet can't revive it, then it's been cooked too long hahaha

Trying to cook a complete roast in the Ninja. I've parcelled veggies, stuck in probes, selected the settings, poured in the water, & turned knobs. The Mr. has lost interested, saying that all the time I am saving in the cooking time is lost in the set up. I can't help but feel that he is correct.

I like Sarah J Maas, but I loathe that for the last decade every author now feels they have to name their book "The something of something and something" I swear I almost want to write a gash AI generated novel called "The lies of unicorns and Navel fulff" I reckon it will still sell #writing

Currently watching 'Seal Team' whilst I play with the second draft of my novel. Is it wrong that I spend every episode looking for the dog, and then worrying that the dog might die.

What do you think about paranormal investigators visiting locations of known tragedy that has occurred within living memory? Especially if the relatives have not given permission?

We've had a fair few named storms since I moved to Cumbria 2.5 years ago, but I wouldn't be lying if I said that this one is making me a tad nervous. There's a fair bit of weather out there!

Hmmm my #AVG antivirus has taken to blocking everything on #bluesky when using my desktop. Very frustrating.

I stopped shopping in Body Shop in the 90s after working for a stint as a temp on the night shift in their factory. Unpleasant atmosphere, poorly supervised & worse paid. But it is a little sad they are heading for administration, it feels like the end of an era.

Nearly 5" of snow at 5am, still snowing at 8:30. On days like this it is like the world stands still. I love the silence and the pristine possibilities that snow days bring. Including the roaring fire and the bottle of wine this evening because it's Friday. Yay!

This day 6 years ago......And of course in my alternate universe an advanced alien race detects the incoming Tesla, judges it as an act of interstellar terrorism and deems humanity too dangerous to remain the sentient species on earth.
