Yesterday was a day filled with admin and doctors but I managed to get a few thousand words written. Not on the 'right' projects, since I have to finish up the short story for Ace Books, but that's the focus for today.

If I can get a few thousand words in, maybe I'll be done by the end of this week

Recovery is weird. Pain is almost gone, but I know I'm still healing and can't lift anything. 10lbs is nothing... but I am not allowed to lift more than that.

So I'm stuck feeling fine, knowing I could crash at any moment with exhaustion and unable to do anything physical.

So weird.

Got up this morning to read through an audiobook contract for a friend, to find it was actually quite good. That's the 3rd contract (just forgot one) that I've read in recent periods where the contracts are actually reasonable.

Quite the change... kind of nice what competition can do.

Slowly improving everyday, which is nice. Didn't have to nap in the middle of the day today and went for a 30 minute walk. I moved slow, but got 1.25km done, meaning my total footstep count for the day doubled from the day before.

About time, since not moving is becoming a problem too.

So far, we've had turkey on the Saturday and beef ribs on the Sunday. Today's going to be boring, though. I think.

Matt's originally a horror writer, so he has a lot of horror aspects to his work. There's mass killing of baby goblins, an AI that's a foot fetishist and basically, a lot of body horror concepts.

It's funny too, but not for everyone.

Somnia Onlie is a VR LItRPG. Not as popular anymore, but was one of the earliest releases and features a female MC.

I'll throw my own in, the System Apocalypse, which is an apocalyptic LitRPG set in the Yukon, Canada.

Depends, there's a lot of good works, in a variety of formats.

Threadbare is a personal favorite of mine - teddy bear golem has to save his 'girl'. More crunchy (numbers heavy) but does the explanation of why stats matter very, very well.

Dungeon Crawler Carl is huge and phenomenal, if gross

Now that the big edit for Celestial Cataclysms is done, I'm back to writing. Dungeon Brawler 2 is in need of more words. Ended at 144k yesterday, let's see how much I can add in the next few hours. Expecting around 170-180k for this book.

Very annoying when events line up such that you can't make two different things you really want to do. Especially when one is a professional requirement (a panel) and another is fun (going sparring!). Ah well....

Just because I can, a screenshot of my top earning books last month. Not too surprising Climbing the Ranks 3 is at top spot, though it didn't manage to pull the rest of the series up to take over the usual A Thousand Li and System Apocalypse books.

Read this. The prose sings, and tugs on heart strings and just soars in ways that I wish I could duplicate. If I could achieve 10% of Ms. Bujold's gift I would consider myself blessed.

Memory is my favorite of the series, but Civil Campaign is incredibly close behind.
