I’m an army veteran who, thankfully, did not encounter war. While in, some of my mentors were high ranked, and had encountered it. None of them ever wanted to see it again. They were usually the sticklers for training in case it did but also demolished any younger soldier who desired it aloud.

I had a rich friend in my 20’s, who was a complete fuck up, got involved in a drug deal sting. Undercover fbi gave him $5K to get coke. My friend went on a Vegas bender and blew it all and the fbi tried to charge him w misappropriation of gov funds.
