Fucking hate living in current times in this country.

Hello, I would like (insert senator/rep name) to oppose the "Anticorruption of Public Morals Act" H.B 4938 which would prohibit the distribution of "real, animated, digitally generated, written, or auditory" depictions of sexual acts. This barbaric and draconian law is a direct violation of our first amendment rights. Pornography and other forms of sexual expression are not corrupting Michiganders and should not be forced upon us as a state level law. It makes no sense that anyone who views normal and legal pornography should be forced onto the sex offenders registry.

Additionally, Representatives Josh Schriver, Joseph Pavlov, and Matt Maddock are attempting to slip a section into this law that takes aim at transgender individuals by prohibiting material "that includes a disconnection between biology and gender by an individual of 1 biological sex imitating, depicting, or representing himself or herself to be of the other biological sex." This is a violation of the human rights against trans people and goes against Michigan's civil rights act that extends protections against discrimination based on gender identity, reflecting growing recognition and support for transgender rights.
