I had to order ‘plain cauliflower cheese’ on a Sunday roast. Just saying cauliflower wasn’t an option 🤦🏻‍♂️
That last one doesn't look pleasant, or have I missed a trick?
That OUP book is an amazing source for broken questions!
@draustinmaths.com Thank you for generously sharing all your resources - your site was my first thought when students needed more practice on building up sketches of quadratics!
Old MEI C1 papers used to begin with a quick fire round. Mixed topics rather than individual skills. Otherwise @drfrostmaths.bsky.social
I remember my brain dislocating slightly when Derek Holt introduced this in Linear Algebra! Seems like he's still going at Warwick
I find formulas obfuscate the idea. As others have said it's always the angle between the initial and final velocity vectors. I give classes this to help them realise why formulas aren't great
Sorry! At work it's only 3996 unread if that helps you feel better 😄
Haha 😄 Just signing up to Pinterest can get you close to that..
I’m kinda curious what happens as this number gets bigger. Will it start using standard form? A couple more emails today will get me to 5 digits

It's that time of year again - your annual reminder that if you're a Maths teacher and looking for suitable resources for your classes across KS3 to KS5 then do check out www.draustinmaths.com. The site is five years old this week 🎉🎉 and in that time it's amassed over 1000 resources! 1/3
My current is school is the first one to give me my own room and it makes the world of difference!
We’ve used NumWorks for A level for a few years now - feel free to DM if you have any thoughts or questions!
Happy Halloween, shoppers! 😱
I strongly believe you should make your house exactly how you want it - enjoy it to the max! We’re going shower-only when we redo our bathroom. As and when the time comes, future buyers can make it how they want. Same as for decor really.
AFAIK the only November ones are International A level, not available to UK centres
I’ve got an oldish Macbook Air that won’t update to whatever random name MacOS has now. This would be fine except half the appa (including Office) have updated themselves just to be able to tell me they can no longer run! Why couldn’t they just stop updating after the last functioning version?! 😭
I’m not normally one for wacky theories, but I think there is research about bisphenols in thermal printing paper. EU banned one type a few years ago
If you have them pre-written and numbered then the markers can just annotate the number on the front of the script ready for data entry
Do they really have to be different for each assessment. In Maths I think things like ‘Demonstrated good knowledge across breadth of topics’ would be fine on any assessment. I’d create 5 like that. The improvement would just be the next strength up, phrased as a target.
I think that's pretty solid advice. Occasionally they might come across a sequence where the first term is labelled u_0, or a summation where the 'first' term is eg r=3
