I read Rachel Reid’s book Heated Rivalry back in the day when I was exploring this strange world of gay romance novels written by women. This was probably the best one of the bunch, so I’m delighted it’s now a steamy new TV series about hockey players. And oh my god the hockey butts!

This book is f’n gorgeous. Excellent story by Jim Zub and then a real treat to read an entire book with art by Alex Horley. Like reading a series of paintings. Just pure awesome.

Critical writing about movies/comics/books/etc is so important, moreso after years of the powers that be making it seem interchangeable with online reviews and listicles. I wrote a whole zine about Scream because I got so sick of surface-level takes on that franchise.
