The irony is that as far as I can tell, the original headcanon poster was 100% fine with Frankie being canonically cis, as were most of the commenters. As with most internet drama, 1% of the fandom is causing 99% of the problems.

Cannot be stressed enough that very few people "demonize" ICE as much as factually describe what their agents do on a daily basis. I'm sorry if you're upset that "masked men roll up in unmarked vans and kidnap people at gunpoint to ship them off to random foreign countries" sounds, you know, scary.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX): "This needs to stop. Violence is wrong. Politically motivated violence is wrong...This is the third shooting in Texas directed at ICE or CBP. This must stop. To every politician who is using rhetoric demonizing ICE and demonizing CBP; stop!"

Democratic politicians need to just keep drawing the through line over and over. "There are tariffs because Trump is scared of everyone who isn't white, and that's why your farm is going to go under. ICE killed off this Hyundai plant, and that's why you don't have a job."

More content restrictions makes the AI’s job simpler (fewer data types to scan) and thus less expensive.

It’s not even a commercial designed for humans anymore. Ads have to cater to computer algorithms in order to even appear on screens, and half the comments below the ads are bots. With agentic AI, soon a lot of the actual purchasing could be done by computers, too.

I knew a guy who weaponized gifts like this. He bought his animal-loving wife an expensive fur coat, then threw a conniption fit when she had the audacity to cry about the dead minks used to make it.

That sounds like an infinitely better option than rallying behind the California camp crasher. If we’re fortunate enough to have another election, the next Dem candidate needs basic empathy.

I’m reading this now. It’s fascinating to see the parallels between LGBT activism today and social movements from over a century ago.

THE INTERMEDIARIES covers the time period leading to the Nazi take-over. I have been keeping time with current developments like a doomsday clock. We are getting damn close to ‘midnight’ (1933). We need to know our enemy’s moves to fight them. Book at discount:

Taking photos and video of law enforcement officers performing their duties in public is our constitutional right.

This includes police, FBI, National Guard troops, ICE agents, and other government officials.

Speaking as someone who used to have waist-length hair - the Rapunzel look can be a real strain on your neck. She shouldn’t have to carry all that extra weight around solely for aesthetic appeal.

It’s worth mentioning that #COVID can trigger changes to mitochondria that mirror those found in #autisticfatigue studies. Basically some portions of the ATP creation process break down, forcing the mitochondria into a permanent ‘emergency’ state to compensate.

A refreshing perspective. I feel bad for the students who pay all this tuition only to be bait-and-switched into unpaid beta testing for generative AI startups.

you've heard about the college kids who can't do anything without ChatGPT's help—but what about the students who oppose generative A.I. for myriad reasons and refuse to rely on it as a shortcut? well, I found and spoke with a few of them here: slate.com/life/2025/07...

I think we are past the point of conspiracy THEORY here. We now have compelling evidence the video was modified. It’s too early to say exactly who did what, but someone involved in the investigation is clearly hiding something.
