Anybody have a connection to a human at Apple, Inc?

“I am asking for a human at Apple to review this case. I suspect an automated fraud flag regarding the bad gift card triggered a nuclear response that frontline support cannot override.”

Oh, this letter that I'm writing is too hard. I'll take a break.

Opens BlueSky to the following tab.

👀 👀 👀
These skeets aren't the break you're looking for. 😱😱😱

I really, really should have looked at the Morning Walk feed or the Gardening Feed or the Papercraft feed instead.

Oh, just another day, talking about lead results of testing, as one does just south of (and downwind of) the Eaton Fire perimeter.

Prof Tissot of Caltech talks about lead.

Poison became my new hobby for 2025. As hobbies go, it’s got all the obsession, but none of the joy.

Here’s a 3:46 video on #ChristmasTreeLane #Altadena by LATimes:
-Long tradition lighting the trees, -whether it would happen this year bc of #EatonFire
-countdown & lights on
At the end of vid there’s a stunning aerial of the lane last night with the trees all lit. 🤩

#ChristmasTreeLane countdown and tree lighting last night in Altadena, California.

After a year that’s been so so hard, the return to a beloved small town tradition felt so good. Felt so normal – we do this every year! And was resonant with so much deeper meaning, too.

The #ChristmasTreeLane lighting ceremony is tomorrow night in Altadena. I wouldn’t miss it for anything and I’m already weepy.

Here’s last year’s countdown and lights on. 🎄🎄
It was Dec 7, exactly one month before Eaton Fire ignited.

(I also have fotos of windy lane Jan 7, one hour before flames)

Full Moon,
AND the 2nd to last business day before end of Medicare Plan enrollment period (Dec7).

A friend told me John Oliver had a good explainer on Medicare "Advantage." Very helpful. Hard Pass on “Advantage”

I’ve been watching The Ken Burns documentary, “The American Revolution” have now seen eps 1-4

Love the voice actors reading the journals/correspondence of people from that time.

Here’s a list of who voiced who:

I am so here for the reviews…

“Good literature and good gossip have in common that they are both savagely and mortifyingly honest. They plumb the depths and reveal the sordid details.”

“her account of her infatuation and the ensuing ordeal is a string of overwrought evasions.”

🌱communal garden work today. Mostly maintenance, laying down cardboard and straw for weed suppression. There was a little bit of harvest for the volunteers working in the garden–
Some lettuce, chard, lacinado kale, a few sugar snap peas and some purple sweet potatoes.
