Part of the joy of going to the desert is spending time in our local San Diego mountains coming and going. Black oaks won’t “turn” for awhile and turkeys are always around.

Just finished my workout. I prefer to live in the shadows, it's easier for me.

My deepest fear: letting people get close to me. I love, but it's always overshadowed by fear of rejection.

So in the shadows I remain.

Update:

Another normal day in the Wolfe household. Got home, fed puppies, etc etc. Except....

Our dishwasher turned itself on. No husband, I was nowhere near. Someone rotated the knob and away we went!

Behold the Sphinx: it fears nothing. Not Time itself, nor wind nor storms.
It simply gazes forward in stoic calm, watching. Always watching.

Beautiful, entrancing. Remote in its expressionless face.
