Speaking of Evercade and my proclivity for plugging things into other things - the Evercade VS controllers are USB and make PERFECT controllers on a PC to play PICO-8 or UFO50 or any throwback software, really!

Like how Moby Dick was actually titled

Frankenstein also had 2 titles, it was called
"Frankenstein" or "The Modern Prometheus"
So I've decided it would be funny to "mistakenly" start calling the monster by the OTHER title instead

My recent Game Gear to GBA joke doesn't actually work (no GG FPGA core on the GBA) but I have a pretty long history of plugging disparate hardware together successfully!

Here's just a few examples of my quirky successes. 😅

My GameCube networked to a my Wii using a USB Ethernet cable (and some software tomfoolery on the Wii to emulate BBA) to play 8-player Double Dash

Controlling my Playdate using my Google Stadia controller

Plugging my Xbox 360 HDD chassis into my Wii to load backups

It occurred to me that the PCB inside the eReader extender I got from @turfmasta.bsky.social is essentially just a GBA extender - which means if I pop it out, I now have the room I need to plug any of the Analogue Pocket adapters into any of my GBAs... 😅

Lying in bed playing Roguecraft DX on my Evercade Super Pocket and after I used a potion of confuse monsters the graphics kinda went off the rails!
I didn't get the best pic though, but the minimap was particularly gibberish!
Did not expect this! Am I the monster it confused??

Sprite artifacting around the inventory on the bottom left, the effect bar at the bottom right, the mini map at the top right, and around my player character and the mimic chest on the screen's play area.

I enjoyed Kaze's Mario 64 Co-op hack on my actual N64 using my Ervdrive. I had some fun with the decompiled Mario 64 for PC.
But I didn't learn until just this morning that there's a pretty cool 16-player online hack for the PC decompilation!
