im really glad they added a magical girl whose focus isn't a skirt because i feel like it's unnecessary pressure to have to wear one (i heard japan's getting a bit laxer about that though)

the way this song is rly hittin' now by 2025 but was made 2006 (and likely a year or two after the boy verson)
i didn't know inp***t had a "only let your ass in once we are bored of you constantly resubmitting a cycle of 500 different artwork but only 3 at a time" mechanic
this era where we admit rob l!efield is a bara guy is wild
me tryna make sense of peter th*el's ant*chr*st rambles and only learning frodo was 33 when he got za ring
FOUND A JAZZY GUY this is what i wanna hear !!!
gonna listen to nun alastor song on youtube 500 times to see if i can alter my brain chemistry into something worse (/positive)
my current ranking of fantasy series exploring colonialism/capitaIism: 1) atla 2) code geass 3) utena 4) mouthwashing 5) castlevania 5.1) hazbin hotel [nun alastor song insane] 6) pratchett's lordes and ladies 7) feh ratatouie 8) SU its ending was rly kid-friendly BUT su futures might be 7.5
realized since i started another thread it might not be Clear, but part of what i like about this series up to episode 5 is how visceral + jarring it is about colonialism

gonna get back to watching the rest of it later (still afraid to believe it'll stay this way despite it constantly Amping Up)
honestly don't have an issue with people having fun with it, but remembering shit i'd see like that was also part of the experience
and Then homestuck got Extremely Real and i was like. jesus thank god bc it's hard to explain how people were like...seeming rly caught up in. not??? seeing what the narrative actually was until it became v clear (tho i can't remember if tavros finally getting a one-up came before or after)
gotta reread homestuck before i do this but one day i want to understand why the early fandom took the rom vs spade shit so seriously... something i remember was like, teens assuming karkat was Genuinely supposed to be helping gamzee. i remember being shocked but i sometimes can't like. process that
it feels like "why should i satirize this" but ugh... i will process this later fr. again lords and ladies (pratchett) was More blatantly horror-oriented IF i remember right, but it was pretty f*cking intense
this series feels more like. it. fucking hates. satire. i think that's it? like hazbin hotel Understands but Despises satire so the energy came off. Intense to me. hmm. i will process this more later.
am back. i feel like the thing i can't handle well about hazbin hotel is that it FEELS like (unsure creator intention) it's a visceral takedown of Needing to dissociate fantasy media from its actual topics. it just feels visceral to me up to ep 5. like castlevania nocturne was Serious but
definitely lordes and ladies level up to episode 5 though fffff except lordes and ladies was mostly openly horror iirc (pratchett)
however i need to get past episode 5 it could still break down we shall see
ik homestuck is sort of like that but its tone is. a little different. hmm. i'm glad viziepop is handling it homestuck is going to be as insane idk who else would handle it bsky.app/profile/sunf...
i feel like the weirdest thing about this series is that it's Not A Comedy (/Horrifying)
