I just got back from the DuPage Democrats Volunteer Expo, and it was *amazing*. I’ll say more later, right now I’m just processing everything. It was such a relief to spend some time around like-minded people and to know we are not alone and are doing the work.

When you privatize a public system, it's goal becomes profit over function. When profit becomes the goal, it will consume and consume like a black hole until it drains everything it can from those who rely on it. It is mind boggling to me that people can't properly understand something this basic.

In a nutshell, both in Chicago and Seattle, ICE will no longer be able to kidnap people off the streets, public spaces can no longer be used by ICE for ANYTHING! No masks. ICE must have ID and show it. Police can now protect residents from ICE.

Let the lawsuits be filed. Go ahead.
