In a lot of cases, it wasn't that they voted for the incompetent fascists, it's that they didn't vote at all. My local Reform county councillor (invisible since May) got 42% of the vote on a 27% turnout. The combined LD, Lab and Green vote was only 21% and the Tories got the rest

I don't disagree, and I wouldn't want to suggest, necessarily, that it is healthy. However, I wouldn't be honest if I didn't think that I would get a vicarious kick out of people seeing me punching above my weight, so to speak. I just know how lucky I am.

Jealousy can have a positive aspect, although selfish. I know that if I could persuade my partner to try naturism, other men might be jealous of me, as she is gorgeous and far more attractive than I am. I'm secure knowing that she loves me, but knowing how others might see her would give me a boost.

The point I was making wasn't about access to naturist spaces, of which there are many in the UK, but more about feeling able to talk about it openly without judgement. If I said that at the weekend, I watched sport, then normal. If I said that I was naturist, then not normal, and considered weird
