You know what, I'll spin Wildhoney & Clouds a few times a year but I've actually never done a post Wildhoney discog run. I remember not liking A Deeper Kind of Slumber when it came out, and then I lost interest.

I'm bad at interpreting tone in texts, equally as bad as conveying it. There's one on my phone that I need to reply to but I can't determine whether it's passive aggressive & potentially shitty or just some bad phrasing and harmless.

Ok I decided to give Epigone a spin tonight and my thoughts on it haven't changed with time.
Any given moment on this record is perfectly fine but the arrangements lack the juice to sustain the album as a whole. Incredibly disappointing given their prior body of work.

Yeah this kinda sucked, if you're going to introduce a ton of new species and locations you need time for character development and there was none of that. Excellent cast, had potential, but horribly executed

Probably a hot take but I think Hypocrisy 's last album, Worship (2021) , is the best in the catalog.
I've done a few discography runs of theirs recently & albums like Fourth Dimension & Abducted have tons of nostalgia, but I think Worship is Tägtgren's final form
